Fuij 20121022

Hi,

Today was Fuji day and for now the last day in Tokyo. I will miss Tokyo, but there is a great country called Japan to explore :).

Took the train from Shinjuku to lake Kawaguchiko, it was a ride of about 2 hours. The last part of it was a special train which stopped now and then to get a nice view. There was also a guide in the train explaining where we were and what there was to see. The way to the lake was nice and we got some nice views of mount Fuji.

After two hours we arrived at Kawaguchiko, it is a pleasant town, and it was not to busy. I understood that mount Tenjo would give a nice view of the lake and mount Fuji. There was a ropeway so we took it and at the top we had a nice view of lake Kawaguchiko.

Also mount Fuji could be seen but no luck as it was clouded :(.

Decided to wait for the cloud to disappear, so walked a bit around the mountain.

Climbed to the top of mount Tenjo, which was a 20 minutes hike, and there was a small shrine.

And then the waiting started, after 30 minutes you could see a small part of the vulcano.

After one hour no big changes :(.

After 2 hours it went very fast, the clouds disappeared very fast and mount Fuji could be seen more and more in it full glory :).

After 2.5 hours there were almost no clouds left and i must say the view was really breathtaking, next time i would like to climb to mount Fuji :).

Around 4 o'clock we decided to leave and go to our next destination Nagoya where we would stay for one night, just to sleep.

Goodbye mount Fuji, until next time ;).
