Osaka 20121024

Hi,

Waking up at Osaka in the Namba district was very entertaining. It is a lively district and very crowded. Today we planned to go to Nara and check Osaka. So we took the train from Osaka to Nara at around 9 in the morning. Arriving in Nara, first some breakfast, I took red bean bun which was quit tasty.

Takayama 20121023

Hi,

After the Fuji experience yesterday, today I hoped for a relaxing day. After checking out of the hotel in Nagoya, we took the train to Takayama as we wanted to sleep a night in Shirakawa-go in these old traditional Gassho-zukuri farmhouses. But after some phone calls we couldnt find any place to stay the night so we just went to Takayama and see from there how to continue.

After a two hours we arrived by train in Takayama, as it was already 15.00 hours we decided to directly go to Hida Folk Village, which is a small village like the old days. It is a kind of a museum in the open air. It was a rainy day, so not a lot of people where there. The entrance of the village.

Fuij 20121022

Hi,

Today was Fuji day and for now the last day in Tokyo. I will miss Tokyo, but there is a great country called Japan to explore :).

Took the train from Shinjuku to lake Kawaguchiko, it was a ride of about 2 hours. The last part of it was a special train which stopped now and then to get a nice view. There was also a guide in the train explaining where we were and what there was to see. The way to the lake was nice and we got some nice views of mount Fuji.
